CB certification

1、 Why do we need CB certification

The main goal of the CB system is to promote international trade by promoting the standardization and coordination of national and international standards, as well as cooperation with product certification bodies, in order to bring manufacturers closer to the ideal goal of "one test, multiple applications".

2、 Introduction to CB Certification

1) The CB system (IEC system for qualification testing and certification of electrical products) is an international system operated by IECEE. Certification bodies in IECEE member countries test the safety performance of electrical products based on IEC standards, and the test results, including CB test reports and CB test certificates, are mutually recognized in IECEE member countries. The purpose is to reduce international trade barriers caused by the need to meet certification or approval criteria from different countries.

2) IECEE is the abbreviation for the International Electrotechnical Commission's organization for the qualification testing and certification of electrical products.

3、 Scope of CB certified products

The products covered by the CB system are within the scope of IEC standards recognized by the IECEE system.

Export to Saudi Arabia requires CB certification for the following products:

1. Mobile phone peripherals; 2. Dishwasher; 3. Electric water pump; 4. TV (Television); 5. Mobile computer.

4、 CB certification process

1) Data and sample review;

2) Formally open the case;

3) Testing;

4) Report writing;

5) Submit certification;

6) CB to IECEE registration.

Note: For certification projects exported to Saudi Arabia, the following two steps are required:

1) CE to IECEE registration;

2) COC cargo clearance.
