CCC certification

1、 Why do we need to undergo 3C certification

In order to fulfill China's commitments to join the WTO, adapt to the needs of China's market economy development, and establish a technology evaluation mechanism that is in line with international standards, China has established the China Compulsory Certification System (CCC) based on four unified principles.  

2、 Introduction to CCC Certification

1) China Compulsory Certification "is also known as" CCC "certification, which stands for China Compulsory Certification, abbreviated as 3C certification.

2) 3C certification is a mandatory certification for products related to human health and safety, animal and plant life and health, as well as environmental protection and public safety. It requires products to comply with national standards (referred to as GB standards) and some industry standards. Those who have not obtained the mandatory product certification certificate and have not applied the Chinese mandatory certification mark shall not be allowed to leave the factory, import, sell or use in business activities, and may be fined accordingly according to regulations, and certification shall be implemented within a specified time limit. For those who have obtained certification certificates but have not used them according to regulations, they shall be required to make corrections within a specified period of time. Failure to make corrections within the deadline may also result in fines. Those who forge or falsely use certification certificates and certification marks shall bear corresponding legal responsibilities.

3、 Scope of products subject to mandatory product certification (CCC)

1) The first batch of products to implement mandatory product certification

Wire and cable;

Installation of circuit switches and protective or connecting electrical devices;

Low voltage electrical apparatus;

Small power electric motor;

Electric tool;

Electric welding machine;

Household and similar equipment;

Audio and video equipment (excluding broadcast grade audio equipment and car audio equipment);

Information technology equipment;

Lighting equipment (2 types in total) (excluding lighting equipment with voltage below 36V) including lamps and ballasts;

Telecommunications terminal equipment;

Motor vehicles and safety accessories;

Motor vehicle tires;

Safety glass;

Agricultural machinery products;

Latex rubber condoms;

Medical device products;

Fire alarm equipment for fire protection products (3 types in total);

Security technology prevention products (1 type in total) intrusion detectors (indoor microwave Doppler detector, active infrared intrusion detector, indoor passive infrared detector, microwave and passive infrared composite intrusion detector);

2) The second batch of mandatory certification product catalog

Wireless LAN products;

3) The third batch of mandatory certification product catalog

Solvent based wood coatings (referring to indoor decoration and renovation solvent based wood coatings such as nitro paint, alkyd paint, and polyurethane paint);

Ceramic tiles (ceramic tiles with an average water absorption rate E<=0.5% used for building decoration);

Concrete antifreeze agent;

4) The fourth batch of mandatory certification product catalog

Intrusion detectors include the following:

Magnetic switch intrusion detector;

Vibration intrusion detector;

Passive glass breakage detector for indoor use;

Anti theft alarm controller;

Car anti-theft alarm system;

Anti theft safe, anti-theft safe;

5) The fifth batch of mandatory certification product catalog

Child stroller category;

Electric toys;

Plastic toys;

Metal toys;

Catapult toys;

Doll toys.

6) The sixth batch of mandatory certification product catalog

Motor vehicle lighting products
(Headlights, turn signals; car front position lights/rear position lights/brake lights/clearance lights, front fog lights, rear fog lights, reverse lights, parking lights, side marker lights, and rear license plate lighting devices; motorcycle license plate lights, position lights);

Motor vehicle reflex reflector;

Car driving recorder;

Reflective markings on the vehicle body;

Automotive brake hose;

Motor vehicle rearview mirror;

Motor vehicle horn;

Automobile fuel tank;

Door locks and hinges;

Interior materials;

chair;

head pillow.

4、 List of CCC certification materials provided

1) Copy of the business license and organizational code of the applicant, manufacturer, and production plant;

Special reminder: In case of inconsistency between the applicant, manufacturer, and production plant, the cooperation relationship between the three parties must be provided and signed and stamped

2) The original 3C formal application form needs to be stamped;

3) The original product consistency statement must be stamped;

4) Original 3C testing report and 3C certificate (applicable when derived or changed);

5) Chinese nameplates and warning signs (in Chinese);

6) Circuit schematic diagram;

7) User manual (in Chinese);

8) Explanation of differences and stamping (applicable for multiple models);

10) List of key components and transformer specifications (including safety and EMC related key components and valid certification numbers);

12) Trademark registration certificate/trademark authorization letter;

13) CB report (when applicable);

14) Recent supervision and inspection reports of 3C factories for similar products and copies or numbers of 3C certificates for certified products (when 3C factory audit is not required);

15) Factory audit survey form (when 3C factory audit is required);

16) Samples (minimum of 3 sets, special samples to be determined);
